Since we were starting a new animal unit we made our return trip to Willowhaven to take our mystery trail through the woods. We were excited to find a true woodland habitat and a drying up pond with lots of animal tracks. We found a small turtle and watched a new type of bird eat standing in the swallow part of the pond. We observed animal holes all over the area and talked about where animals live. We also got to see a large flock of Canada Geese. It was an awesome start to the Woodland animal unit.
